Well, here’s something you don’t see every day.
Here at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta the Tour Championship is underway. And its been an interesting two days so far.
Today, after a wet morning start, the strangeness continued.
Rory McIlroy, who tends to draw large galleries wherever he goes, made what looked like a normal drive off of 14.
His ball fell into the treeline and then, you guessed it, into a guy’s shorts pocket.
The judges were called over and after ascertaining that the guy had not moved from that spot let Rory take a drop right there below his pocket.
The guy pulled out Rory’s ball and handed it to him, although he looked like he wanted to keep it. The judge said ” He can give you another one, he needs this one.”
Rory, in typical Rory fashion, then put the ball about 15 feet from the hole and made par.
